Seeds Associations for Development and Culture is implementing the Project titled, “Enhance Institutional Administrative and financial Capacities of Seeds for Development and Culture Association”.  through a grant provided by the USAID-funded Active Citizenry Activity (ACA). ACA aims to increase citizens’ participation in civic life and support their efforts to advocate for positive changes, foster social and political advancement, and improve overall living conditions and prosperity. ACA will support the civil society sector, Palestinian citizens, media organizations, and other relevant stakeholders to become more active in civic life, decision making and advocacy for citizens’ rights and demands. ACA is being implemented by Global Communities.

The project aims to enhance the institutional capacities of the Seeds Association for Development and Culture in administrative, financial, and strategic aspects by developing a strategic plan for 2024–2027, along with key policies and guidelines such as a Code of Conduct, Monitoring and Evaluation Guidelines, Complaints Procedures, IT Usage Policy, and a Gender Inclusion Policy. The project will also build the administrative skills of the association’s team and volunteers through specialized training in areas like project proposal preparation, monitoring and evaluation, advocacy, and gender inclusion. In addition, the project includes community awareness activities focused on cyber blackmail, with initiatives such as a video campaign, radio episodes, workshops, and school activities aimed at educating Children and enhancing their understanding of responsible citizenship. Seeds will work closely with consultants and the ACA team to ensure high-quality administrative development and community engagement outcomes.

About Seeds:

Seeds for Development and Culture is a non-profit association founded in 2005 with the primary objective of positively influencing Palestinian youth. The organization was established to harness the potential of young individuals, encouraging them to contribute constructively to the public interest. Seeds seek to challenge stereotypes and outdated thinking by motivating youth to step out of their comfort zones. The overarching goal is to unleash their innovative and critical capacities, ultimately eradicating antiquated ideas that persist in society. Through this process, Seeds aims to enhance systematic research and promote a rational approach to critical public issues, fostering an environment conducive to the development of creative and independent individuals.

Seeds has charted a dynamic course of growth since its inception. Facing challenges on economic, social, and intellectual fronts, the organization has consistently forged its own path, building upon incremental achievements. General Position Summary:

The Project Coordinator will provide programmatic, field work and administrative support to the project team and stakeholders. He/She will work closely with the Seeds Administration and  ACAs focal point on all aspects of the program and provide effective and efficient support to ensure smooth implementation. The Project Coordinator will assist in organizing and following up on various interventions, providing programmatic, administrative, and procurement support. In addition, the Project Coordinator will support in information gathering and reporting. He/She will also follow up with the finance department on preparing and submitting financial supporting documents and payment requests according to stated requirements and guidelines.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Support the Seeds administration in the planning and set up of activities, including engagement with relevant partners and other key stakeholders.
  • Support in organizing training sessions, workshops, and field visits as required.
  • Conduct sound coordination, implementation, and monitoring of field work activities of the project, and ensure implementation schedules are met as per the detailed implementation plan, while maintaining adherence to project and Global Communities/USAID regulations. 
  • Participate in implementing the project with effective day to day monitoring of its activities.
  • Provide any required support to the local partners when planning and implementing program activities.
  • Manage the preparation of the regular technical reports related to the progress of the program activities.
  • Facilitate field visits for all stakeholders as required.
  • Manage the translation of success stories, documents, and official letters from English to Arabic and vice versa as required. 
  • Maintain and build strong relations with local partner organizations and institutions, including private sector, -educational, and public-sector partners.
  • Collect, analyze and report on projects activities to senior management at the Organization and ACA
  • Support, lead, motivate and inspire other team members.
  • Any other duties as assigned by Seeds administration.

 

Accountability:

Reports Directly To: Project Manager.

Works Directly With: Project Manager, Seeds administration and board, other project team members, experts and trainers, and other stakeholders.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant professional experience in a comparable position.
  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Information Management, English Literature and Translation, Accounting, Finance, Development Studies or any other related field. (or equivalent combination of formal training and experience e.g. in marketing, economics, management, business development or etc.).
  • Good experience in working with youth projects or youth related development projects.
  • Previous experience in designing and delivering trainings and coaching on civic participation,is a Two years experience at min.
  • Very Good written skills in Arabic language and communication skills with a variety of audiences including businesses, other NGOs, government entities, the general public and the media.
  • Experience working in West Bank or Gaza, and existing professional networks within organizations and civil society actors engaged in youth development in Palestine. Previous experience with USAID projects is an added value.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of gender inclusion principles, human rights, and equitable approaches for positive youth engagement and development.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, presentation, teamwork, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to think innovatively.
  • Experience contributing to effective curriculum planning, design, adaptation and development.
  • Experience in project design, project management, and training and capacity building.
  • Positive and professional attitude, including ability to work well in a team setting.
  • Strong ability to organize work, meet deadlines, maintain composure under pressure, prioritize work, coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.
  • Excellent skills using technology and computer software, including but not limited to, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
