Project Coordinator
An-Najah National University has received a Grant from the Quality Improvement Fund (QIF) – Ministry of Education and Higher Education and funded by the World Bank for the project entitled: “Language Arts Pre-service Teacher Education Development Program”. The Grant aims at building the capacity of English language Faculty members in the Colleges of Education in An-Najah National University, AL-Quds University, and Hebron University, and all TEIs in Palestine in consultation with an international consultant institution; it also aims at building the capacity of TEIs which will enable them to provide quality language arts teacher education programs. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the overall implementation and coordination of all Project activities under the supervision of the Project Director.

Assignment Objective
An-Najah National University is looking for a highly qualified Project Coordinator to be part of the
administrative staff responsible for the overall implementation and coordination of all Project activities under the supervision of the Project Director.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities
1-Preparing , managing & following up all procurement & financial issues related to the project in collaboration with the specialized department(s) to ensure its compatibility with the grant agreement & the donor’s guidelines.
2-Ensuring the successful implementation and quality outcomes of the Project through coordinating
the implementation of all the activities in the project’s implementation plan and providing adequate follow up and supervision of the work.
3-Leading the project team and ensuring team coherence and motivation.
4-Evaluating and monitoring of the project progress at all phases of the project.
5-Supervising and modifying the project action plan whenever needed.
6-Coordinating meetings between the project partners and project team members as needed.
7-Preparing the progress reports of the project to be submitted to the donor & provide any needed
assistance in preparing other reports as required in the agreement.
8-Performing other duties that may be assigned by the Project Director
9-Ability to work extra hours & travel through the West Bank

Qualifications & Skills:
1-A Master Degree in Language Education or any other related field from an accredited university
2-Minimum of two years Professional experience in coordinating similar projects.
3-Good knowledge in financial and procurement management.
4-Excellent communication and networking skills.
5-Excellent reporting and formal writing skills in both English and Arabic.
6-Excellent technical, interpersonal and administrative skills.
7-Having Computer and Budgeting Skills

Place of Work: An-Najah National University
Time Frame: The duration of the assignment is 24 months, the coordinator has to work 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.
