Save the Children, as a non-profit U.S based development organization, has been working in the West Bank and Gaza since 1973. Save the Children (SC) concentrates on enhancing health, educational, psychosocial, food security, and economic opportunities in order to achieve its mission to create lasting, positive change in the lives of children.
Save the Children US is recruiting three Project Coordinators to work on the Career Counseling
Development
The Project is an intervention under TVET Program funded by USAID.
The Project Coordinators are part of the TVET project team. Main responsibilities are to ensure that
the “CCDP “project resources are engaged in a timely manner, that implementation moves forward
according to plans, and issues are resolved promptly. To provide technical guidance, managing,
planning, training, implementing, monitoring and evaluating the “CCDP” Project.
The Project Coordinators will have day-to-day management responsibility for all Project activities in
her/his geographical region. S/he will provide management and technical leadership in developing and monitoring regional implementation plans that integrate the CCDP activities, with special emphasis on mobilizing families and communities, and delivering training to build the capacity of local organizations and partners. S/he will ensure that CCDP creates and maintains close relationships with local Ministry representatives and implementing partners.
Project Coordinators Geographical assignment will be as the following:
Project Coord. # 1: Central West Bank Directorates (Ramallah, Jericho and Jerusalem)
Project Coord. # 2: Northern West Bank Directorates
Project Coord. # 3: Southern West Bank Directorates
Requirement and Experiences:
-Relevant advanced degree in Social Work, Workforce Development, Education or a closely related field is preferred
-Three years experience in similar position
-Experience working with Community Organizations; ability to mobilize communities
-Experience designing and/or implementing USAID-funded projects and familiarity with US government regulations;
-Strong management and coordination skills
-Experience with Career Counseling/Guidance or related programs;
-Experience with design and delivery of training
-Demonstrated skills working with partners
-Knowledge of local organizations in Palestine and capacity to develop strong coordination relationships
-Experience successfully working with the public sector, the private sector, civil society, community based organizations, local communities, local government in developing effective capacity building methods
-Experience and ability to work with a wide range of people: children, youth, and adults.
-Demonstrated ability to find viable solutions to complicated problems in a flexible, time-sensitive and creative manner
-Strong leadership, representation and interpersonal skills and problem solving abilities
-Native Arabic and excellent communication skills (oral and written) in English;
-Good reporting skills
-Computer Literacy
-Valid driving license
-Ability to travel throughout the West Bank and Jerusalem
