As part of our Projects on Inclusive Education supporting and developing inclusive education policies, practices and culture in Awqaf schools in East Jerusalem, Terre des Hommes Italy is looking for qualified professionals to be hired from July/August 2016 until April 2017.

TdH It offers:

1 post for the position of Project Educational Coordinator (PEC) – full time

The PEC will coordinate a team that promotes  inclusive policy, practice and culture in targeted schools  and  in  the  community,  recognizing  that  inclusion  in  education  is  one  aspect  of inclusion  in  society. S/he will be in charge of: technical coordination and planning of project field activities; support the Inclusive Education Expert (IEE) in the implementation of technical training of project and school staff and volunteers; support the IEE in drafting of technical materials and in setting up the monitoring system and related tools; leading project technical team; ensuring data collection, reports and monitoring of sources of verification; monitoring and supervision of an online thematic discussion forum on inclusive education; supporting awareness activities implemented by project team; attending technical meetings with local and international stakeholders and coordination with project partners and associates.

Candidates need to possess the following requirements

-At least a BA in Special/Inclusive Education, Education, Psychology or other relevant field.
-At least 5 years of relevant work experience in schools or other educational settings (work experience with INGOs is an asset, previous working experience with TdH is a plus)
-Competence, skills  and  a  solid  commitment  towards  promoting  inclusion,  the  principles  of development and the organizational goals of TdH It
-Knowledge of models of learning and principles of effective teaching, including appropriate intervention strategies
-Sound  organizational  skills  and ability  to  work  as  part  of  a  team  and  to  interact  with diverse stakeholders
-Good  communication  skills  and capacity  to  build  consensus  and  promote  the implementation of a shared vision

-Sound organizational, problem solving and reporting skills
-Fluency in written and spoken Arabic; Good command of written and spoken English
-Good computer literacy (Word, Excel, Power Point).
