Project Overview

Role Overview

The project manager will play a central role in project planning, implementation and monitoring.  They will serve as the contact person for this activity.  They will report directly to the Educational Lead and CEO.  They ensure that all project activities are implemented and that a healthy project cycle is maintained with all deadlines met.  They will lead and follow up on the project team members ensuring integrity and congruence in implementation. They will conduct regular field visits, maintain connection with stakeholders, partners and rightsholders.

Roles and responsibilities

  1. Full responsibility for developing a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
  2. Full responsibility for ensuring that all interventions are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
  3. Full responsibility for coordinating internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of the project.
  4. Full responsibility for managing a multidisciplinary project team, ensuring effective collaboration and timely achievement of project milestones.
  5. Full responsibility for managing the relationship with all stakeholders, ensuring continuous alignment and clear communication with partners, donors, and benefiaries.
  6. Full responsibility for reporting and escalating project issues to management as needed.
  7. Full responsibility for maintain open communication channels.
  8. Full responsibility for managing the project budget, ensuring effective use of resources and staying within financial constraints.
  9. Full responsibility for providing data on budget spending for financial reporting, and participate in financial report writing.
  10. Full responsibility for ensuring that the project outcomes meet the pre-set Key Performance Indicators.
  11. Full responsibility for ensuring that staff deliver their relevant interventions and meet standards of operation.
  12. Full responsibility for ensuring that all materials produced regarding the project meet high quality standards.
  13. Full responsibility for developing and implementing effective monitoring and evaluation mechanisms.
  14. Full responsibility for ensuring the collection and documentation of learnings and best practices for future reference.
  15. Full responsibility for ensuring identifying and managing potential risks, ensuring that contingency plans are developed and in place.
  16. Full responsibility for ensuring that the project is compliant with organizational policies and relevant legal requirements.
  17. Full responsibility for preparing and present detailed project reports to relevant stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements

●       Master’s Degree in Project Management or any related specialization required.

●        Bachelor’s Degree in one of the relevant fields: Applied Sciences, Engineering or Technology

●       At least five years relevant work experience, preferably in a Local/ International NGO.

●       knowledge and understanding of quality education principles, STEM, TVET and STEAM approaches

●       Fluency in English both verbal and written, Arabic as a mother tongue.

●       Excellent attention to details; strong organizational skills.

●       Good personal, communication and team coordination skills.

●       Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and understand financial principles.

●       Excellent organization and time management.

●        Problem-solving and decision-making abilities

●       Highly committed, able to work under pressure, adapt to new situations, and meet deadlines.

●       Experience in working in conflict areas and understanding the local context is preferred.

●       Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Office.

●       Proficient in project management software tools.

●       Valid Driver’s License
