Project Manager
MA’AN Development Center is an independent Palestinian non-profit organization, founded in Jerusalem in January 1989. Location: Gaza Strip
Number of Positions: 1
The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the project’s activities to achieve the objectives outlined in the project plan for the targeted areas.
The duties and responsibilities include:
- Project Implementation:
- Manage project activities according to the project timeline, within the project scope, and allocated budget.
- Prepare and regularly update the project implementation plan.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to facilitate the implementation of project activities.
- Guide and supervise project staff to ensure the completion of the tasks and the fulfillment of their responsibilities.
- Maintain continuous communication with the project team to exchange information and address field challenges.
- Conduct field visits to targeted areas to monitor the project progress.
- Manage the project budget in coordination with the program manager.
- Supervise the archiving of project documents and reports.
- Record and monitor the receipt of tools, assets, and resources related to the project.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and represent the project in relevant meetings.
- Human Resources Management:
- Manage the team, assign tasks, monitor achievements, and provide guidance and support for the development of team members' skills and knowledge.
- Provide daily support, coordination, and guidance to field teams.
- Maintain professional and trust-based relationships with team members.
- Coordination:
- Contribute to planning and participate in regular planning meetings and meetings discussing activity status with the field team in collaboration with the Child Protection Officer, Counselor’s Supervisors, and SCLR technical officer.
- Coordinate with all organization programs, departments, monitoring, and evaluation within the organization regarding assessments, analysis, procedures, and implementation.
- Reporting:
- Prepare monthly narrative reports on the progress and execution of project activities.
- Ensure timely submission of narrative reports, verify field reports to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency with internal reporting requirements and donor requirements, and provide feedback to field teams for necessary improvements.
- Ensure that project results, outputs, and expected results under this position are monitored and fulfilled within the project's time frame.
- Coordinate with the field team to accurately collect data, compile, and prepare reports/report inputs for key donors regarding activities falling within the position's scope.
- Summarize and share weekly updates regarding activities with management.
- Work with relevant partners to ensure effective communication and achievement of goals.

- Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in project management.
- Experience in project management related to establishing and managing protection projects, including monitoring, evaluation, management, and logistics.
- Proficiency in English.
- Preferred:
- Master’s degree in social sciences, management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience, including 3 years in the field of protection, especially child protection.
