Project Manager
Overview of the Position:
The Project Manager will oversee the successful implementation and management of specific projects, including two vital projects: the Orphan Sponsorship Program and the Amputee Support Program. This individual will ensure that the projects meet their objectives and deliver meaningful impact to the communities in Gaza, specifically children who have been orphaned or have suffered amputations due to conflict. The role involves managing the projects and personnel, coordinating with local partners, and ensuring the effective delivery of services.
Primary Responsibilities:
Orphan Sponsorship Program:
- Collect and maintain accurate records of orphaned children in Gaza who are eligible for sponsorship.
- Assess the specific needs of each orphan, including educational, health, and psychosocial support.
- Design and implement programs to meet the identified needs of the orphans.
- Coordinate with local partners, social workers, and community groups to ensure the success of the program.
- Track and report on the progress of the program, including impact assessments and beneficiary satisfaction.
- Manage a team of staff responsible for direct implementation and supervision of orphan care and support.
- Ensure that financial resources for the program are effectively utilized and accounted for.
Amputee Support Program:
- Identify and maintain a list of children in Gaza who have suffered amputations due to conflict or violence.
- Assess the specific needs of each child, including medical care, prosthetics, physical therapy, and emotional support.
- Develop and implement tailored programs to address the physical, psychological, and social needs of children with amputations.
- Oversee the logistics of prosthetic provision (if any), rehabilitation services, and other necessary medical interventions.
- Supervise and manage a team of healthcare professionals, counselors, and support staff working with amputee children.
- Develop and submit regular reports detailing the progress and impact of the amputee program.
Team Management:
- Lead, train, and manage a team of project personnel, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of personnel, providing guidance and support where necessary.
- Foster a positive work environment based on teamwork, respect, and mutual accountability.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare regular progress reports for internal and external stakeholders, detailing the progress, challenges, and success stories of both programs.
- Ensure that all documentation is up-to-date and complies with the organization’s reporting standards.
- Collect data on the impact of the programs and use this information to drive program improvements.
Stakeholder Coordination:
- Collaborate with local authorities, NGOs, and community leaders to ensure alignment with local needs and national policies.
- Act as a liaison between the organization and local communities, ensuring the active involvement of beneficiaries in the design and execution of projects.
- Build relationships with donors and other external partners to secure funding and resources for ongoing project needs.
Other Projects
- Manager other projects developed in Gaza as requested by management.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, international development, project management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing projects, preferably in the NGO sector, with a focus on child welfare, health, or conflict-affected populations.
- A demonstrated commitment to working with vulnerable populations, especially orphans and children with disabilities.
- Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, planning, and reporting.
- Strong leadership abilities, with experience managing teams in challenging and complex environments.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-cultural settings.
- Ability to write clear, concise reports and deliver presentations to various stakeholders.
- Fluency in Arabic and English (both written and spoken).
