Project Officer

NICCOD is a Japanese NGO focusing on community development globally.in Tubas ,we have been running a project concerning improvement of olive oil quality and marketing opportunities for over one year.We are working with the olive farmers in Tubas in order to produce Extra Virgin olive oil,help them promote the product internationally,as well as building sustainable chain from production to marketing.The project has been implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture,and Economic & Social Development Center of Palestine (ESDC).We are looking for Project Officer who is ale to join us to replace the current one,starting from early-mid-June (starting date to be negotiated ) until end of october 2010.
Project Officer is responsible for :
-Coordination with beneficiary farmers,our partner organizations etc.
-Providing technical input throughout the project activities.
-Planning and management of workshops.
-Preparing reports and associated documents.
-Supporting the operation of NICCOD Tubas office

We are looking for an individual who has the following qualities:
1-Agriculture engineer,knowledge on olive cultivation and olive oil production is a plus
2-At least 2 years of working experience with international organization
3-Fluent in English ,both in oral communication and in writing and average PC skills.
4-Experienced in working in the field with the farmers.
5-With a driving license
6-With excellent social and communication skills
