Oxfam GB in the occupied Palestinian territories & Israel is working towards a just & peaceful resolution to the devastating conflict that continues to deprive people of their basic rights.

We are currently looking for a Project Officer for our European Commission funded project. The mentioned project addresses Promoting freedom of thought, association and movement in Gaza through support to civil society.

·         Title: Project Officer

·         Position: Full - time position

·         Duration: One year Fixed – term contract with possible extension

·         Base: Gaza

 

If you are interested in applying you will need to have experience in the Human Rights sector in Gaza & awareness of its issues. Oxfam will be implementing this programme through a range of partners; therefore experience in working with & capacity building partners is essential. You will need to have well developed project cycle management skills, experience in community development and Palestinian Civil Society.  Ability to demonstrate working across sectors and within teams effectively is essential.  Specific experience in advocacy and campaigning is an asset while excellent communication skills in English as well as Arabic and experience in the NGO sector is a must for this role.
