About the Organization
Unlimited Friends Association for Community Development is a social, developmental, and charitable institution that was founded in 2000, driven by a sense of social, educational, and developmental responsibility towards the Palestinian family. After implementing and achieving several community activities through the organization's self-driven efforts in the social and family sectors, the concept of the organization was expanded and developed. It was officially approved in 2003 under the Palestinian Associations and Charitable Organizations Law No. (1) of 2000 and its executive regulations.
Position: Projects and Fundraising Manager
Duration: One year, renewable
Start Date: January 1, 2025
Location: Al-Zawaida, Friends Without Borders Office (Educational Center)
Salary: $1,400 USD
Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Project Manager is to ensure the smooth operation of the project on time and within budget. Duties typically include planning specific aspects of the project, monitoring progress, coordinating meetings, and supervising project team members.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure effective project management by maintaining appropriate technical, operational, financial, and administrative outputs, tracking project progress through monitoring, evaluation, and reporting:
- Manage and coordinate the implementation of relevant project activities based on the related project documents, including, where appropriate, supervising and guiding other project staff, consultants, and experts to achieve project results.
- Develop detailed work plans for the project, covering all activities, roles, responsibilities of stakeholders, and identifying relevant milestones.
- Monitor the progress of project activities and key event timelines, track work plans, and monitor deadlines, including monitoring financial resources and accounting to ensure accuracy and reliability of financial reports.
- Mobilize goods and services to support project activities, including drafting tender conditions, requirements, and specifications for works/products.
- Manage and monitor project risks identified at the outset, report new risks and possible mitigation measures to the project board, and update the status of risks by maintaining a project risk register.
- Ensure compliance with the project's financial, procurement, and administrative processes in line with the association's rules and regulations, while adhering to project timelines.
- Prepare interim project reports (progress of planned activities, updates on risks, expenses, etc.) and ensure timely submission of reports to relevant entities such as project boards and relevant donors.
- Develop fundraising strategies and plans to attract donations.
- Seek new funding opportunities, write proposals, and develop projects.
- Manage existing and new grants and build strong relationships with donors.
- Prepare marketing and promotional materials to raise awareness about the association.
- Support the association's teams in data collection and documenting success stories.
- Prepare periodic and final reports for projects in collaboration with the programs.
- Develop a database for projects and donors.
- Maintain collaborative working relationships with key project partners and project donors through effective communication, consultation, and reporting:
- Maintain regular coordination and quality assurance for expert inputs and their deliverables, ensuring consistency and integration across project activities.
- Identify opportunities to deepen collaboration and recommend appropriate approaches for engaging different stakeholders based on gathered information about all involved stakeholders during project implementation.
- Maintain regular contact regarding relevant project issues with counterpart parties, consultants, and local and international experts, ensuring quality and timely delivery of all agreed outputs.
- Maintain effective relations with existing and potential donors.
- Provide timely and quality reports to the association and donors.
- Seek to engage affected groups and communities in the project activities.
- Clearly communicate the project's objectives and activities to both stakeholders and the wider public.
- Performance Indicators for Evaluating Results:
- Implementation of project activities in line with the logical framework of the project.
- Project staff/team receive effective guidance and support as needed.
- Transferred competencies and resources are unified and implemented effectively.
- Links with related projects/initiatives established and common goals achieved.
- Funds delivered according to the planned annual work plans.
- Reports are prepared on time and in quality, in line with program needs.

Skills and Experience Required
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field (or an equivalent combination of formal training and experience in areas such as economics, management, business development, etc.).
- Professional certifications in project management, such as PMP or PMD Pro.
Previous Experience:
- At least 3 years of professional experience in project management.
- Experience in project management, program/project coordination, and/or providing consultancy services or similar.
- Good knowledge of relevant policies, institutional frameworks, and laws related to environmental protection, entrepreneurship, nature protection, and/or climate change.
- Familiarity with clusters of INGOs and keeping up with their periodic publications.
- Knowledge of PSEA (Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) and Safeguarding.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and analytical writing skills.
Information Technology Skills
- Exceptional IT skills.
Languages:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.
