Islamic Relief is a humanitarian INGO (www.irpal.ps) operating in Palestine in the fields of emergency relief and long-term development. Islamic Relief announces the following vacancies for its office in West Bank.
Title: Projects Development Manager
Ref.: PDM-WB-05-2014
Location: Ramallah office.
Type of Position: Full time.
Duration: One year (Renewable).
Main Duties:
1-Produce concept papers /full proposals in coordination with programmes team.
2-Conduct the necessary research and needs assessment for the targeted sectors as Heath, agriculture, food security, psychosocial, education.
3-Prepare a database and donor mapping for institutional donors.
4-Develop a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) system to be used for all IRPAL/WB projects, ensuring consistency with the overall Islamic Relief monitoring and evaluation policy and framework and including standards developed by key international NGOs and donors.
5-Provide leadership and coordination in the designing, documentation, monitoring, and evaluation of IRPAL/WB new and ongoing projects activities for the purpose of meeting the relevant standards of all related stakeholders.
6-Participate in the dissemination of monitoring and evaluation results and feedback into planning of future projects and programmes, including the preparation of special reports and lessons learned materials.
7-Ensure training for projects staff on the monitoring and evaluation system.
8-Gather and analyze data to prepare regular reports as required by the donors and the Programmes Manager, and maintain a database including baseline and follow up.
9-Implement and participate in programmes and project progress evaluation, survey and programme follow up in order to advise and recommend tools and strategies to increase programme performances and results.
Candidates must possess the following competencies:
-Bachelor degree in education, management, social development or other related field, Post graduate is preferably
-Minimum 7 years’ experience of working in a similar role with INGOs.
-Proven track record of field work experience with INGOs in developing countries in rehabilitation, development and emergency contexts.
-Proven experience of and ability to plan effectively at the organisational level.
-Experience of developing and implementation of strategic plans.
-A proven experience of effective project design, budget control and management.
-Experience of successfully fundraising and dealing with donors.
-Experience of monitoring and evaluation projects.
-Strong communication, interpersonal & technical skills.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
-Proven experience in managing people.
-Experience of building capacity and sharing knowledge.
-Abide by IRW Code of Conduct and other industry related codes of conduct.
