PURPOSE:
Oxfam seeks to contract 4 skilled Field Protection daily workers to support with field assessments, data collection, and community engagement as per Oxfam’s policies and guidelines.
The key objective of the assignment is to support Oxfam Protection team in data collection and field assessment in Gaza Strip.
Duties of daily Protection Workers include the following:
Strict commitment to attend of Oxfam Training Package when required; will include the followings:
- Communication with communities’ approach
- Data protection requirements
- Field safety and security requirements
- Safe programming
- Accountability to Affected Population
- Data collection ethics
Conduct Field Data Collection including assessments, surveys, and interviews on protection concerns and vulnerabilities.
Conduct protection assessment, documentation & Data Analysis, maintain records, compile reports, and analyze data to inform protection team.
Support & Monitor field, engage with communities, monitor protection interventions, and provide direct support to at-risk individuals.
Coordinate with relevant implementing partners and prepare the field plan accordingly.
Recognize and give an account of problems in obtaining data, in consultation with Oxfam MEAL team.
Provide day to day progress updates to protection team, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and solutions.
Review gathered data and performed correction if required.
Serve as the main point of contact between field teams and stakeholders.
Maintain effective communication with local communities, partners, and other relevant stakeholders.

Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Relevant Diploma or bachelor’s degree of data management and/or social work.
- Prefer Good written in English for data collection.
- Previous experience in enumeration activities
- Previous experience in data collection in the field of humanitarian work
- Good knowledge and experience of using mobile application for data entry.
- expertise to enter, transcribe, record, sort or maintain data in written or electronic forms.
- Good knowledge of the core humanitarian standards.
- Good knowledge and experience in using Microsoft excel.
- Skills of communication with communities.
- Ability to pay full attention to what others are saying, understand the points being made, and ask appropriate questions.
- Good observation skills to obtain useful data from related resources
Working Conditions
This is a casual employment, individuals will be fully responsible on their health and safety.
Working Days:
22 working days until end of April 2025. The number of working days can be increased based on needs and available budget.
Daily Rate:
The rate for the daily protection worker will be 233.53 ILS per day (8hours) including field transportation and communications).
