Protection from Violence Officer-Individual Response Service
The purpose of a Protection from Violence Officer position is to carry out implementation of the protection from violence project.
- Carry out protection case management and individual protection assistance (IPA) in line with NRC Protection Case Management and IPA guidelines and tools, including conducting intake and assessment, creating and implementing client-centred case plans, following-up on case plans in a timely manner. This includes provide psychosocial support and referrals as needed.
- Identify cases of adults at high risk of harm and rights violations other than Child Protection and Gender Based Violence
- Report internally to the Protection from Violence Coordinator on weekly and monthly achievements and challenges.
- Maintain case management files with accuracy and confidentiality, including regularly updating case management database.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationship with relevant stakeholders including partner agencies, community leaders and service providers.
- Prepare procurement or payment requests for material assistance in-line with case plans and ensure project documents are collected and saved offline and online using Office 365, OneDrive and SharePoint in line with project agreements.
- Participate in mapping exercises and assessments aimed at identifying the locations and needs of vulnerable populations in West Bank with a focus on Hebron and the surrounding neighbourhoods, by using participatory data collection tools and methodologies.
- Coordinate with potential service providers (governmental, non-governmental, private, etc.) to improve the provision of assistance and referral mechanisms in line with safe referral standards.
- Identify barriers to access services, document and report on them.

- Consistently and proactively monitor/assess the safety and security in the field; promptly reporting concerns or incidents to the manager and liaising with external parties as required to maintain/enhance the security environment
- Participate in needs assessments, field support visit and emergency response efforts as needed
- Undertake any other reasonable task assigned by management

- At least two years of professional experience in the humanitarian sector with international organizations.
- At least two years' experience implementing social work, case management support (preferably in humanitarian setting), technical diploma or degree in social work, human rights, or related degree preferred, knowledge of human rights and protection with a focus on vulnerable individuals.
- Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills, creativity, and flexibility
- Good ability to organize work, meet deadlines, work independently, prioritize work under pressure, coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail
- Level of knowledge and practice with Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Required.
- Advanced level of English and Arabic, both written and verbal.
