MSF Spain is looking for a skilled Recreational Activities Facilitator in Hebron to contribute to the provision of the recreational activities as part of the emergency response in the West Bank..

Accountabilities

•             Actively promote the availability of MSF/partner psycho-social services

•             Carry out recreational activities adapted to the population targeted

•             Carry out individual needs assessment and after consultation with line manager, agree on the best support: direct assistance and/or referral to external actors or specialist

•             Collect and report specific information related to the target group

• Identifying beneficiaries who need support for social critical needs.
• Referring and follow up of identified cases to the Social Worker. 
• Create and maintain dialogue with the community to inform them of the available services on the ground and to listen to their needs
• Providing information to beneficiaries on the use of the health care system and other support services (shelter, food, transport, legal support, cash) provided by MSF and other actors, with the aim to favour empowerment and autonomy of beneficiaries
• Continuously assess, monitor and evaluate needs (individual and community) and activities, and communicate observations with the line manager
• Contributing to context understanding and data collection on medical/humanitarian issues, with a specific attention to vulnerabilities, to provide reliable information for operational decision-making through:
  • Supporting administration of assessments/ surveys when needed
  • Reporting all important information expressed by the beneficiaries and the communities, ensuring confidentiality at all times
• Inform line manager of any problem of any kind arising during the day-to-day activities.

Document and monitor all activities and outcomes and submit regular reports.

•             Keep files and statistics updated about the recreational activities

Education

•             Strong added value: Completion of an undergraduate degree in social work, education, psychology

Experience

•             Background in case work and case management, psychosocial work, teaching, social work, youth engagement, public health is considered a strong asset.

•             Experience in similar position with I/NGOs is a strong asset.

Languages                      

•             Mother tongue/C2 for Arabic is essential

•             Proficiency in English is a strong added value.

Knowledge

•             Training in Psychological First Aid, protection and violence prevention, GBV case management and psychosocial support is an asset.

•             Strong communication, and social skills (attentive listening, open attitude, empathy, sensitivity)

•             Capacity to work in a multidisciplinary team

•             Initiative, creativity and flexibility

•             Capacity to adjustment to change

•             Strong interest in helping vulnerable population
