Tomorrow’s Youth Organization (TYO) is an American non-profit organization that works in disadvantaged areas of the Middle East, enabling children, youth and parents to realize their potential as healthy, active and responsible family and community members. With the support of Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) under the Bokrah Project, TYO is recruiting a highly qualified and motivated Psychologist interested in Early Childhood Education, advocacy, health and lifestyle reforms, and civic participation at our flagship center in Nablus, Palestine.

Job Summary

 The Psychologist will be expected to contribute to all of TYO’s activities and community events as needed. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-    provide psychotherapy in individual settings for adults and children and group settings for families and other groups
-    Listen to concerns about academic, emotional, or social problems of children and youth
-    Promote positive behaviors among beneficiaries
-    Meet with parents and teachers to discuss learning, behavioral, familial, and social problems
-    Counsel parents on topics such as domestic abuse and communication strategies
-    Study and implement behavioral management techniques for students
-    Evaluate and advise school disciplinary practices for challenged  students
-    Research and implement learning programs

Primary Requirements

-    BA in Psychology, Family Theory, Counseling, or Clinical Psychology (MA preferred)
-    5+ years experience as a registered psychologist
-    Fluency in Arabic and English
-    Patience and interpersonal communication to develop trust and relationships with young children
-    Excellent organizational and program administration skills, and the initiative to apply them as needed without extensive direction
-    Experience in and enthusiasm for working with children
-    Creativity and positive energy for making a difference
-    Commitment to TYO’s non-political, non-religious approach
-    Willing to relocate/work in Nablus
