Psychologist
I. Specific objectives:
- Implement MHPSS Activities within MdM France medical and non-medical projects.
- Implement MHPSS Integration activities internally within MdM medical and non-medical projects or externally with MdM France partners in Nablus and the West Bank.
- MHPSS capacity building activities for specialized and non-specialized health service providers.
- Implement supervisory activities upon MdM France Partner’s MHPSS Activities.
- Implementation and improvement of effective field activities monitoring and reporting, including data collection and analysis.
II. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Main responsibilities and activities of MdM Psychologist can change according to the organization of the work and to the composition of the team.
- Programming
- Implement and follow-up MHPSS projects activities of MdM France under supervision of MHPSS Manager.
- Participate in capacity building activities for MdM France’s governmental and non-governmental partners.
- Implement technical supervision and follow-up activities for medical and non-medical partners teams on MHPSS topics.
- Participate in the process of designing emergency response methodologies, field activities, preparedness, and response plans.
- Participate in the process of creating, capacitating, supervising, and monitoring MHPSS teams and focal points under supervision and delegation by direct supervisor.
- Participate in defining, communicating, and reporting plans and pathways for field activities.
- Assess training needs of MdM France partners and assist in organizing and providing MHPSS trainings accordingly in coordination with MHPSS Manager.
- Provide structured information on referral pathways and networking for MHPSS, SRHR and GBV Cases.
- Participate in specific & relevant meetings under the delegation of direct supervisor.
- Participate in the preparation for trainings (define training needs, topics, agendas, needs, attendance sheets, pre-post-tests, banner) and deliver them accordingly with the work plan.
- Reporting and data collection.
- Provide a monthly, quarterly, or annual report of activities in due time.
- Contribute to the MHPSS data analysis in collaboration with the MHPSS Manager.
- Contribute through the successful histories to the capitalization of the MHPSS activities in collaboration with the MHPSS Manager.
- Immediately report emergency MHPSS needs at community level.
- Immediately report HR misconduct to the Direct supervisor, FieldCo and Admin Office.
- Provide with any other requested relevant reports when needed.
- Participate in the creation of data collection tools, follow-up tools, assessment forms and any other needed technical forms for field use.
- Collaborate and participate in any field survey, data collection, and/or need assessment organized by MDM-F in relation to health, MHPSS, SRH, GBV or any other relevant theme.
- Ensure strict adherence to MdM data protection policies and regulations.
- Participate in the weekly computerization and analysis of data.
- Security:
- Inform immediately the security focal point in case of any security problem in the field.
- Apply and respect MdM security rules in the mission.
- Others:
- Maintain good socio-professional relationships with national and international partners.
- Attend team meetings and give qualitative input in collaboration with the MHPSS Manager.
- If necessary, contribute to preparing emergency plans with the MDM-F team to adjust MDM-F activities.
Perform other additional duties on request of the MHPSS manager and field coordinator.

- Psychologist degree (bachelor mandatory, master highly desirable) and valid professional license certificate to practice issued by MoH.
- A minimum of two years’ professional experience in psychology, desirably in the humanitarian sector.
- Previous experience in delivering psychoeducation and awareness raising activities.
- Proven experience in the provision of training and supervision of specialized and non-specialized MHPSS professionals.
- Considerable knowledge of mhGAP Guidelines, DSM 5 and other international MHPSS guidelines resources (Previous official mhGAP Training will be an asset).
- Previous experience in working with adolescents and youth.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills.
- To be able to work independently.
- Excellent writing skills and Computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Fluency in Arabic and English (both written and spoken)
- Experience in conducting Clinical supervision sessions for medical, para medical and MHPSS partners.
