Psychologist

The Guidance and Training Center (GTC) is a non-profit community mental health center based in Bethlehem and founded in 1994. GTC’s mission is to Provide preventive and therapeutic services in the area of mental health, especially for the child and family, and generally for the local community, and to pursue the development of knowledge, skills, and experiences of workers in this field and conducting research through programs that meet the needs of the target groups in the best professional and scientific way possible, aiming to participate in the development of mental health in the Palestinian society. The GTC is looking to recruit a Psychologist according to the following requirements:

Contract type: Full time 

Contract duration: one year- renewable

• Main responsibilities include:
• Conduct assessment of mental health needs.
• Develop and implement treatment plans.
• Conduct support groups and awareness workshops.
• Maintain records, evaluate therapy outcomes and write reports

Essential Requirements:

• An advanced degree in Psychology (preferable degree in clinical psychology or psychotherapy) MA is a plus.
• Al least 3 years of proven experience in psychotherapy, counseling and psychological assessment.
• Proven practice under supervision (no less than 3 years).
• Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent Communication skills.
• Curiosity and research-oriented approach;
• Able to manage a case load independently.
• Capability to work under pressure.
• Excellent command in Arabic and English both written and spoken.
• Ability to work in outreach program upon request.
