Caritas Jerusalem (CJ), a humanitarian and development organization representing the socio-pastoral services of the Catholic Church in the Holy Land, is currently seeking highly qualified candidates for the position of Psychosocial Facilitator at its’ Caritas Taybeh Medical Center located in Taybeh Village.
Contract Period: 4 months with the possibility of extension(s)
Location: Taybeh Village / Ramallah
Status: Full-time
Reports to: Medical Director

Position Purpose:
The Psychosocial facilitator will be responsible for implementing psychosocial support intervention aimed at serving communities in Taybeh village and the surroundings. The facilitator will be tasked with ensuring smooth external and internal coordination, demonstrating different skills to ensure the success of the psychosocial component with different groups of people, timely reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular, structured, group PSS resilience building sessions, or brief individual sessions when needed, with different groups of people belonging to the communities to alleviate their psychosocial difficulties/distress.
- Facilitate specific thematic, empowering workshops, or summer camps. The themes and topics of the events/ workshops will involve all groups of people benefiting from the support modalities.
- Understand and identify the psychosocial needs of beneficiaries.
- Maintaining the confidentiality of beneficiaries.
- Participate in the creation of any material needed for PSS counselling activities.
- Ensuring accurate and complete reporting about activities.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in direct service provision in the field of MHPSS or protection, preferably working in providing group support activities, case-management or focused non-specialized support to vulnerable populations.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
- Understanding of key protection and MHPSS mainstreaming principles and their practical applications in humanitarian work.
- Good understanding of the targeted communities’ location, culture and traditions across the WB.
- Knowledge of Child Protection, Safeguarding and Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) responsibilities within humanitarian response.
- Knowledge of the importance of confidentiality and data protection-relevant protocols.
- Fluency in English, spoken and written required.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email/internet software
- Ability to take direction, learn quickly and take the initiative.
- The ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
