Psychosocial worker
Doctors Without Borders (MSF) is an independent humanitarian medical aid organization committed to two objectives: providing medical aid whenever needed, regardless of race, religion, politics or gender, and raising awareness of the plight of the people who helps. MSF is working in more than 70 countries all around the world.
MSF –Spain is carrying out a psychological support program with medical and social component. The aim is to provide short-term psychotherapy to people affected by violence and conflict.
MSF-Spain is currently seeking to hire a full time “Psychosocial Worker” for our Mental Health Team based in Hebron with mobility to West bank. This position is a replacement for a maternity leave, and it starts immediately until the end of December 2017.
Requirements:
- Must have a degree in social work, psychology or other social science.
- Minimum 1 year of experience providing psychological first aid for victims of violence.
- Work experience in Hebron governorate and northern villages of Bethlehem.
- Desirable two years minimum in a similar social job
- Essential computer literacy (Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet)
- Arabic and English are essential.
- Experience with International NGOs.
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure.
- Capacity to work in a place with high security components.
- Ability to work within a team.
