Position: Public Health Programme Lead

Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. MAP is the leading UK charity delivering health and medical care to those worst affected by conflict, occupation and displacement, in the Gaza Strip. MAP is currently experiencing a period of rapid growth, which is partly in response to the ongoing crisis in the occupied Palestinian territory.
Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is seeking a dynamic Public Health Programme Lead to drive the development and management of public health programs in Gaza. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for devising strategies, overseeing project design, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with donor requirements. Additionally, you will provide technical guidance, monitor program quality, and foster staff development, collaborating with partners and authorities to achieve program objectives and uphold MAP's values of equity and gender justice.

This role requires extensive experience in humanitarian and recovery contexts, particularly in conflict-affected and complex environments, preferably within the Middle East region. Fluency in both Arabic and English is essential, alongside technical expertise in public health programming. Additionally, you should demonstrate strong leadership skills, the ability to manage teams effectively, and excellent communication abilities.
