PUBLIC HEALTH PROMOTION OFFICER (PHPO)

Action Against Hunger (ACF) is a humanitarian, non-governmental, non-political, non-denominational and non-profit making organisation working in the Palestinian Territory since 2002.

For 6 months period

The Candidate will:
-Work closely with the food security team in the creation and adaptation of health promotion training materials
-Understand the program objectives and develop activities accordingly
-Substantially contribute to carrying out regular follow up surveys as required and to deliver reinforcement messages during the follow up visits
-Provide substantial input to the weekly reports to the Food Security Program Manager including which activities are under way, what progress has been made, and objectives
-Contribute to the formulation of post-distribution / follow up survey reports and progress reports to be submitted to the Food Security Program Manager.

Profile of the Candidate:
-Certificate in community development or nutrition or related field
-Minimum 2 years of practical experience in the related fields
-Good communication skills with ability to express oneself well in writing and speaking
-Basic knowledge in socio-economics and food security and livelihoods
-Knowledge and experience in different monitoring and assessment techniques
-Good knowledge of nutrition principles and experience in nutrition programs
-Strong interpersonal skills and good team player
-Good knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel)
-Report writing, organizational and analytical skills
-Ability and willingness to work independently and in remote areas
-Able to speak and communicate in front of large groups
-Impeccable English (written and spoken) and fluent Arabic
