The Public Relations Manager will be responsible for company-wide community relations and communications efforts. Plans, develops and implements comprehensive public information initiatives, including brand awareness, competitive positioning,and conflict resolution strategies. This position serves as public information official for the company.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Promote UCI and all of its projects to public, private, and non-governmental organizations.
-Generate significant brand awareness for UCI and its projects.
-Create partnerships with local and international organizationsto promote UCI’s objectives.
-Raise funds for UCI’s infrastructure projects.
-Raise awareness amongst public, private, and non-governmental organizations, and the general public about UCI’s high impact work.
-Work the Marketing and Customer Service Departments to research, write and distribute press releases to targeted media.
-Collate and analyze media coverage.
-Plan, develop and implement PR strategies.
-Meets with senior public officials in villages’ councils, municipalities, ministers, and other public officials to mediate and promote UCI’s objectives.
-Liaise with and answer enquiries from media, individuals and other organizations, often via telephone and email.
-Work the Marketing and Customer Services Departments to write and edit in-house printings, case studies, speeches, articles and annual reports of multiple departments.
-Prepare and supervise the production of publicity brochures, handouts, direct mail leaflets, promotional videos, photographs, films and multimedia programs.
-Organize events including press conferences, exhibitions, open days and press tours.
-Maintain and update information on UCI’s website.
-Manage and update information and engaging with users on social media sites.
-Manage the PR aspect of a potential crisis situation.
Requirements:
-University Degree in Business Administration, orMarketing, or Communications or any other related field.
-5+ years of experience in PR work.
-Resident of Ramallah.
-Fluent in both Arabic and English: reading, writing, and conversational.
-Excellent Interpersonal, communication, presentation and writing skills.
-Problem-solving, speaking, organizational, and leadership skills.
-Knowledge of local conventional and social media.
-Drive, competence, flexibility and a willingness to learn
-Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
-Excellent relations with public and private institutions.
-Ability to cope with pressure.
-Creativity, imagination and initiative.
-Good teamwork, analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Business awareness and a good knowledge of current affairs.
