QA and Safety Supervisor
Main Function:
To develop and prepares the quality & Safety policy, goals, plans and programs. To supervise the implementations of the approved quality management system, in a way that guarantee the quality of the purchases, storage, sales and documentation activities. To ensure the involvement of all Company’s employees in development and achievement of the quality & Safety culture in all activities performed.
Duties & Responsibilities:
QA:
-Participates in developing quality policy, goals, plans and programs, including the quality management system.
-Translates the quality policy to general policies and goals.
-Participates in preparing the quality manual, quality procedures and work instructions, and follows-up its approval from the top management.
-Develops quality control system, and quality assurance programs and procedures, and supervises their implementation in a way that maximize the efficiency of work, and achieving the approved goals.
-Study, develop and implement programs for quality circles in the Company.
-Develops and prepares the quality awareness training programs, and coordinates the implementation with departments’ managers.
-Supervise the implementation of the quality management system, and makes the necessary modifications according to the new conditions and circumstances.
-Controls the implementations of the quality system, and identifies the variances.
-Analyzes the variances and recommends corrective actions relating to the system, and follows-up its implementations.
-Coordinate with the Sales and Marketing Managers in the quality standards and products’ specifications, so as to perform the quality control activities.
-Identifies the quality checkpoints concerning the inputs, process and outputs for the operations.
-Implements the sampling techniques in performing the quality control activities.
-Coordinates with the Corporate HR in identifying the training needs for the Company’s employees relating to quality.
-Performs the quality internal audit activities, and ensures the compliance with approved system.
-Maintains and ensures the proper documentation of all Company’s activities relating to quality.
-Prepares and submits periodic reports regarding the progress of quality control activities from which decisions can be made.
-Ensures availability and makes most efficient use of human resources, supplies and equipment.
-Participate in different committees and studies relating to his section
-Assumes all authorities outlined in the authorities schedules
Safety:
-Establish HS&E goals that are consistent with corporate policies and aligned with the company vision.
-Ensure appropriate HS&E risk assessments, studies, classifications, and clearances are completed.
-Establish Operational & Maintenance goals that are consistent with corporate policies and aligned with the company vision.
-Ensure a training system is being implemented with specific safe operating and maintenance procedures are used for all systems.
-Ensures that an Emergency Management System is established with a trained system owner.
-Verify appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) use, availability, and training.
-Visits sites to ensure compliance with the Tender Document‘s Special Conditions - Health and Safety Manual and/or the Contractors’ Health and Safety Plans
-As per directions to investigate accidents and complaints and determines if there the health and safety plans have been followed.
-Writes reports on results of inspections and investigations and completes detailed paperwork
-Develops recommendations for corrective actions to address health and safety issues.
-Develops and recommends new procedures and approaches to safety and loss prevention based on reports of incidents and accidents.
-Verifies the contractors’ safety plan is current and amended when project activities or conditions change.
-Reviews the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) submitted by the consultant.
-Carries out inspections for office working environments (interior and exterior) and vehicles to note safety deficiencies or concerns and to recommend corrective actions.
-Stays inform about developments within the construction sector regarding any new PA health and safety standards.
-Maintain all low voltages effectively and efficiently working.
Academic Qualifications:
BA in Industrial Engineering or equivalent professional qualification.
Work Experience:
Have 5 to 7 years of experience of which the last 3 years were in a similar position.

Requirements:
-Proven experience as Safety supervisor, a quality assurance supervisor or relevant role
-Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping
-A business acumen partnered with a dedication to legality
-Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities
-Thorough knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance and standards
-Excellent numerical skills and understanding of data analysis/statistical methods
-Great attention to detail and a results driven approach
-Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
-Computer literacy: MS Windows applications and databases
-Certified compliance professional is a plus
-Certification of quality control is a strong advantage (ISO 9000 etc.)
