Position Title: Quality Assurance Engineer

Your Job:
The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality
of Souktel products before they are released to clients. You’ll receive test-ready products from
Souktel’s software development team, and carry out testing to ensure error-free functionality of web
interfaces, mobile components, and mobile network connectivity. You’re then responsible for
clearing products for release, following these comprehensive tests.

Your Responsibilities:
-Create comprehensive test plans for testing web and mobile software components.
-Test all user paths, including potential error paths and invalid or malicious user input, to
ensure proper error handling.
-Complete QA assessments with these test plans, approving products for release or
identifying required modifications.
-Document bugs, track bug fix progress, and verify resolution of open bug tickets.
-Run full regression tests for all products before release.
-Write automated test suites to ensure continuous connectivity and functionality of
software components on a daily basis.
-Communicate directly with Souktel clients to verify functionality of mobile components.
-Prepare periodic reports to management on QA priorities and processes.

Required Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering/computer science.
-2 - 4 years prior experience as a QA engineer.
-Experience writing automated unit test suites for web-based products.
-Strong experience with PHP and web applications.
-Strong knowledge of mobile network connectivity and SMS/IVR/mobile web applications.
-Professional-level English: Ability to interact directly with English-speaking clients.

Desired Qualifications:
-Knowledge of SQL queries and Java programming language.
-Experience with mobile protocols such as SMPP.
-Experience with LAMP stack administration.
-Experience with web security attacks such as SQL injection and XSS.
