THE ORGANIZATION

Since its creation, the organization has set up programmes in approximately 60 countries and intervened in many emergency situations
THE JOB
Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the Referral System Officer will contribute to the implementation of the activities of the Emergency Project “multidisciplinary rehabilitation services to the most vulnerable persons with disabilities (PwDs) and persons with injuries ( PwIs) in Gaza Strip”
Main tasks will include:
Provide direct technical support, field coaching and follow up to partners’ social workers in the coordination and management of the Referral Networks in each governorate including:
-Support in understanding the referral network mechanisms and system
-Support in understanding the role of the Social Worker within the supported multidisciplinary outreach rehabilitation teams.
-Train the social worker on using the social assessment and the general assessment form.
-Train the social workers on tracking, circulation, and the regular update of the general assessment form.
-Support in coordinating and convening meetings with service providers / members of each network and other potential members
-Support in preparing the agenda for Referral Network meetings
-Follow up and support when needed the reporting of referrals meetings
-Ensure Social Workers monthly updating of the referrals register and its related documents.
-Ensure the consistent follow up for the referrals conducted in each governorate by partners Social Workers
-Conduct training sessions in public relations, coordination and networking to partners’ social workers.
-Strengthen the role of the social worker in networking and improving PwDs and PwIs access to other needed services.
-Follow up the regular mapping of information on available services for PwDs and PwIs in the five governorates.
-Support to the social workers to mainstream and include the needs and demands of PwDs into the other services sectors.
-Strengthen the effective participative role of families and PwDs to the referral networks meetings, follow up the referrals, and disseminate updated information to PwDs on available basic and specialized services.
-Provide support to partners’ social workers to initiate the planning of collective campaigns to be implemented by Referral Network members in the occasion of 3rd Dec 2014 (The International day of PwDs).
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
-Must have bachelor Degree in Sociology
-At least Three years’ experience of working in networking, public relations and social work fields with an INGO.
-Demonstrated advanced training and monitoring skills.
-Fluency in English.
-Report writing skills in English and Arabic
-Computer skills (word, excel, PowerPoint)
-Willingness to travel to the field
-Excellent communication skills
-Good organizational skills
-Ability to work under pressure and within a team.
Initial contract will be for a period of 2 months and the position is based in Gaza.
