Médecins du Monde (MDM) France is an International Medical Organization, which has been present in the Palestinian Territories since 1995. It operates in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank through offices located in Jerusalem, Gaza and Nablus.

MDM is currently looking for qualified candidates to fill the position of:

Reproductive Health Doctor, Gaza Base (1 Position)

Starting date: July 1st, 2014
Type of contract: 1 Part Time Contract (75%)
Duration: 6 months (longer term extension subject to a 2-year project approval)

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
-To implement the reproductive health project in its preparation and development phase in close collaboration with MDM Reproductive Health Project Officer
-To carry out a technical needs assessment in Ministry of Health (MoH) and local NGO health facilities and to develop the training plan
-To conduct reproductive health trainings, supervision and follow-up of Ministry of Health (MoH) and local NGO medical and para-medical staff
-To promote reproductive health and family planning rights and practices among health providers
-To ensure the quality of family planning counseling and practices among health providers
-Reporting and follow-up of project activities

REQUIRMENTS:
-Medical doctor (Gynecologist / Family Doctor / Public Health Doctor) with background / experience in reproductive health
-Experience in public health project / support to NGOs/MoH
-Experience in conduction trainings and supervision of health providers
-Experience in assessment / monitoring and evaluation
-Adherence to reproductive health approach in MdM (read position paper on SRH MdM)
-Good contact / patience / diplomacy / initiatives / autonomy / dynamism
-Good command of English and Arabic languages (both written and spoken)
-Computer skills (word, excel, power point, statistics software) is a plus
