Our current program works in partnerships with local organizations to safeguard children’s rights, focused primarily in the areas of participation, education, livelihood, youth development, health and protection, civil society development, emergency response, and food security, SC has established strong partnerships with local and regional actors.
We started a project to contribute to improving the learning environment in selected Early Childhood Care and Development centers in Gaza. Through targeting 15 Early Childhood Care and Development centers located in some of the most vulnerable areas of Gaza Strip, Through Restore and renovate 15 damaged Early Childhood Care and Development centers in Gaza, provide furniture and equipment for Early Childhood Care and Development centers in Gaza, establish libraries in selected Early Childhood Care and Development centers, provide children with psycho-social support sessions, recreational activities for children, provide the mothers of Early Childhood Care and Development centers children with the knowledge and skills they need to deal with their children’s behavioral and psychological difficulties and access to safe drinking water, in 15 KGs over Gaza strip.
Project activities

-Provide furniture and equipment for Early Childhood Care and Development centers in Gaza.
-Establish libraries in selected Early Childhood Care and Development centers.
-Provide children with psycho-social support sessions

-Provide the mothers of Early Childhood Care and Development centers children with the knowledge and skills they need to deal with their children’s behavioral and psychological difficulties.

Save the Children is currently seeking the services of a specialized consultancy firms to support Save the Children oPt Country Office and its key partners working in the occupied Palestinian territory to conduct the project external evaluation in full cooperation and coordination with the relevant stakeholders.
The evaluation is intended principally for learning and accountability purposes. It is meant to highlight strengths and weaknesses of the project and recommendations to guide future program work in this area. It is expected to generate relevant findings, lessons and recommendations to be shared with key stakeholders and used by implementing agencies to guide and inform future programming in Early Child Care and Development centers in Gaza. The evaluation will also assess the performance of the project based on project relevance, efficiency, impact, sustainability, timeliness of activity implementation, and engagement of key stakeholders.
Interested consultancy firms are welcome to collect the Terms of Reference from Save the Children’s Office in Gaza starting from Wednesday 18th February, 2015 after 1:30 PM to Tuesday 24th of February, 2015 maximum by 12:00 pm
Interested applicants must submit their tenders in two sealed separated envelopes, one for technical proposal and the other for financial proposal no later than Wednesday 25th of February 2015, before 3:00 pm.
