Introduction
An-Najah National University (ANU) & Palestine Technical University (PTU) have received
a grant from the Quality Improvement Fund (QIF)-Ministry of Education and Higher
Education and Funded by the World Bank and EU, to establish two “Education Technology
Centers” (ETC) and intends to apply part of this grant for selection and employment of
highly qualified researcher/analyst.
Assignment Objective:
An-Najah National University is considering the selection of a highly qualified researcher/analyst to be part of the small core staff responsible for assessing the needs of students in ANU and PTU regarding technology related skills required for improving their provision as future teachers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Reviews and studies literature related to integration of new technologies in the teaching/
learning process.
2. Lists the most important technology skills needed for pre-service teachers for their provision.
3. Implements different research techniques for collecting data related to the state of pre-service teachers technology skills and knowledge.
4. Writes report including levels and types of skills and knowledge these pre-service teachers have.
5. Suggests and recommends type of courses needed to be developed for these pre-service teachers.
Deliverables
The consultant is required to submit a report which includes the following issues:
a. New trends in integration of new technologies in the teaching/learning process.
b. Technology skills needed for pre-service teachers for their provision.
c. Levels of technology skills and knowledge of pre-service teachers through
implementing different research techniques for collecting data i.e. questionnaires,
interviews observations.
d. Suggested courses needed to be developed for these pre-service teachers.
Minimum Required Qualifications, Skills, knowledge and Competencies:
• B.A./ BS.C. Degree (related field) .
• Skills and Knowledge of Sample selection.
• Skills and Knowledge of data analysis using proper software.
• Experience in designing and developing data collection instruments.
• Report writing skills.
• Experience in related work (3 years minimal).
Place of work:
An-Najah National University (ANU) & Palestine Technical University (PTU)
Time frame: the researcher shall present his/her report within 40 days .
Contract Type: Lump Sum
