Mercy Corps is looking for qualified ICT training centers and ICT firms to deliver two long training courses in Web Development and Graphic Design for at least 96 participants (48 per each training course). Each course is divided into four groups.
I-Background:
Mercy Corps is a nonprofit international relief and development organization serving more than 19 million people in 46 countries. Driven by local needs, our programs provide communities in the world’s toughest places with the tools and support they need to transform their own lives. For more information, please refer to: www.mercycorps.org.
In Gaza, Mercy Corps implements the Palestinian Community Assistance Program (PCAP), a multispectral, 5-year program funded by USAID. Under the economic recovery pillar of PCAP, Mercy Corps works to prepare youth or underemployed adults to become productive members of the workforce through skills training and professional development.
The two courses are implemented as an input for “Online Freelancing Career Growth” project. The project aims to enable Gazan graduates to work and grow successfully as online freelancers. The two courses will provide graduates with technical skills required to prepare them for employment opportunities through online freelancing thus creating a platform that links study with practice.
