Roadway Group Manager

B&V a USAID Contractor located in Ramallah working in the infrastructure sector throughout the
West Bank is seeking experienced and qualified candidates for the following position:

Roadway Group Manager

The Roadway Group Manager will be responsible for leading the roadway and transportation infrastructure associated with the INPII program. He will finalize the design and quality control process. Supervise the work of in-house roadway design staff and manage local sub-consultants engaged in roadway design.

This position requires extensive experience as noted below.

Responsibilities:
-Take full responsibility for the INPII roads design processes and quality control.
-Lead the design management team with planning, scheduling and management of all roadway related tasks. Coordinate with environmental, permitting and cost estimating departments.
-Train and mentor younger staff regarding roadway design and engineering principles and procedures.
-Communicate with and coordinate design work with related Palestinian Governmental agencies and municipalities. Attend meetings, prepare and give reports.
-Ensure compliance with all applicable Palestinian and international codes and standards and completion of quality control procedures.
-Oversee the preparation and coordination of each year’s RFTOP documents for tendering by USAID.
-Assist the Local Lead with planning and development of conceptual designs, schedules and preliminarycosts for future roadway projects and presentations to USAID
-Coordinate with and assist related roadway work in the Construction Management and the Operations and Maintenance group.

Minimum Requirements:
-Bachelor of Science in Engineering,
-Have at least 15 years of engineering design and construction experience focused on roadway
projects. Must have at least 8 years of roadway design experience at the project manager level
engaged in; supervision of engineering staff and subconsultants contract preparation, coordination
with governmental agencies, enforcement of design standards and quality control.
-A clear understand all local roads design requirements
-Knowledge of quality assurance and control processes
-Experience writing scopes of works
-Managerial skills for complex engineering assignments,
-Attention to detail with strong analytical skills,
-English Language fluency, spoken and written.
-Have sense of initiative and ownership,
-Good team working skills – works well with others
-Valid Driving License
