Rural Engineer

The NGO Development Center (NDC) is a Palestinian non-profit non-governmental organization who acts as a main mechanism to provide technical and financial support to Palestinian non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to empower them to respond to the needs of the poor and marginalized in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
For a potential project commencing in April 2016 targeting communities in Area C of the Jordan Valley, NDC is seeking to hire a qualified Rural Engineer.

Main duties and responsibilities:

The engineer will be responsible for technical design and technical feasibility of actions identified under community development plans. S/he will provide support to all the beneficiary villages and will potentially liaise with the Municipal Development and Lending Fund (MDLF) in respect of the infrastructure provision in Al Jiftlik and Ein Shibli.

Required Qualifications:

-University degree in Civil Engineering.
-Minimum 10 years of field experience in Palestine related to community planning and implementation of infrastructure projects.
-Proven track record in supervising infrastructure projects for large donor-funded programs.
-Prior experience working on projects in Area C in the West Bank is required.
