RUWWAD/Gaza Field Coordinator

RUWWAD Palestinian Youth Empowerment Program,is a USAID-funded program implemented by the Education Development Center,Inc.(EDC). RUWWAD empowers young palestinians to become leaders of social change by providing advanced leadership opportunities therough the National Youth Corps (NYC),Which is composed of young men and women ,aged 14-30 years.RUWWAD also supports the U.S Palestinian Partnership in its Creation of a network of four Youth Development Resource Centers (YDRCs) and affliated youth clubs, in partnership with the Palestinian Ministry of Youth and Sports (MoYS).

RUWWAD is planning to launch one-year emergency project in the Gaza strip that aims at engaging youth between the age of 16-25 in different humanitarian assistance and civic action activities.
RUWWAD has the following opening positions:

Gaza Field Coordinator: The Gaza field coordinator will be responsible for administering,monitoring,and reporting on all Gaza-based youth programmatic and managerial activities,which include direct implementation of RUWWAD program activities and sub-grants implementation.

Reports to : Program Director

Contract Duration: 12-month Renewable

Responsiblities include :

• Coordinate and implement activities related to the National Yputh Corps (NYC) including re-activating its chapters in the Gaza Strip.
• Recruit and mobilize youth to serve and help their community,and empower them to be active leaders of the NYC through implementing meaningful small-scale activities.
• Lead and monitor the development and implementation of youth led Humanitarian Assistance and Civic Engagement activities.
• Supervise sub-grant related activities in the Gaza Strip ,including monitoring of sub-grant activities.
• Ensure that all activities are administered in accordance with EDC and USAID policies and procedures.
• Provide input and information for M&E purposes,quarterly reports,implementation plans and any other reports requested by the Program Director.
• Other duties as assigned by the Program Director.

Post Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in NGO-sector focusing on youth development and sub-grant administration.
• Experience in Training,recruting,mobilizing,and engaging youth in program activities.
• Bachelor's or Masters degree in social science/democracy and governance/human rights or international development peferred.
• Strong interpersonal,communication,and writing skills
• Excellent English skills (Ms.Word,Excel,etc)
• Strong reporting and monitoring skills.
• Familiarity with USAID regulation is a plus.
