Safety & Security Officer
Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. MAP is the leading UK charity delivering health and medical care to those worst affected by conflict, occupation and displacement, in the occupied Palestinian territory and Palestinian refugee camps of Lebanon.
MAP is looking for a Safety & Security Officer to oversee safety and security of MAP staff, volunteers, offices and supplies and equipment. This includes monitoring local security conditions, assessing the security of MAP guest houses and offices, keeping in contact with the Access Support Unit (ASU), UNOCHA and other agencies working in Gaza and making recommendations to the Gaza Director.

The ideal candidate will have experience in complex and high-risk environments, with knowledge of safety and security sectors and logistics duties. Strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities in English and Arabic, and proficiency in IT are essential. A university degree in a security-related field and an understanding of humanitarian and international development are required.
