About House of Crafts:
PalTrade has partnered with the UNDP to implement a project titled “Handicrafts Service Company”, which will see the establishment of an innovative Service Company called the “House of Crafts- HoC” in the handicrafts sector. This company aims to provide holistic business support to stakeholders in the handicrafts sector to improve their readiness for ethical sourcing markets and to establish sustainable linkages with global markets. The company is expected to simultaneously leverage the uniqueness of Palestinian handicrafts and help producers showcase their value-based offerings, building on the unique culture, traditions, geography, ethical and sustainable practices for which there is a growing global market.
Job description:
The Sales and Operations Officer will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the company, as well as maintaining and developing relationships with clients in the high scale handicrafts industry. Key responsibilities include ensuring timely delivery of orders, negotiating prices and terms with vendors, implementing sales strategies, managing inventory and logistics, and providing customer service. The successful candidate will be a strong leader with excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Job Location: Ramallah, Palestine.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships with clients in the high-scale handicrafts industry.
- Manage and maintain relationships with existing clients and vendors.
- Negotiate prices and terms with vendors and clients.
- Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the sourcing company, including inventory management, logistics, and supply chain management.
- Create and monitor sales and operations metrics to measure performance and make improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as marketing and product development, to ensure the successful launch and promotion of new products.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and market conditions to inform business decisions.
- Build and lead sales and operations to achieve company goals.
- Provide customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Direct, optimize, and coordinate the full order cycle in partnership with a local shipping company.
- Perform quality controls by ensuring all goods received and shipped are in alignment with specifications and quality requirements.
- Coordinate and manage the logistics of orders, including scheduling and tracking the delivery of goods to buyers.
- Track and maintain inventory levels/production capacity of producers, ensuring that products are available when needed.
- Communicate with producers to follow up on orders, resolve any issues, and maintain positive relationships.
- Support the overall operations and logistics efforts of the company.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Advanced university degree in a relevant field
- Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience in sales and operations in the handicrafts sector
- Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain management principles and best practices
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiar with CRM and ERP systems
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal in Arabic and English
- Valid Driving License
