Security Analyst

The incumbent works with ITS staff to set and monitor security standards, best practices, and systems necessary to ensure the protection and confidentiality of APA Informational assets. This analyst must possess strong technical knowledge of information systems, IT security practices and technologies, the use of established IT security controls and methods, and a working knowledge of public policy issues and concerns relating to IT security and privacy. The incumbent must also possess excellent communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with managers and internal staff.

• Conduct automated security assessments and penetration testing of web applications and LLM applications using AWS tools and services.

• Develop and implement security automation scripts and workflows to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of security operations, including automated vulnerability reporting.

• Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate secure DevOps practices, ensuring continuous identification and remediation of security vulnerabilities in web and LLM applications.

• Manage, troubleshoot, and maintain Endpoint Detection and Response for a wide variety of vendor technologies.

• Monitor automated patching across servers and desktops as needed.
