Position: Security Guard 

Type: Contract/Temp, On-site  

Location:  Gaza, Palestine  

Salary: ILS 2,016 

Reporting to: MAP Medical Activity Manager    

Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is a leading UK charity dedicated to improving the health and dignity of Palestinians affected by conflict, occupation, and displacement. With a focus on the occupied Palestinian territory and Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, we provide vital health and medical care to those in need, particularly in crisis zones like Gaza. As part of our commitment to meeting the growing needs of the communities we serve, we're expanding our team.  

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security of all MAP facilities, adhering to defined safety protocols and scheduled shifts while always wearing the assigned uniform. They will monitor and patrol premises, perform security checks, and report violations and suspicious activities. Responsibilities include securing areas during emergencies, maintaining logs of incidents, collaborating with local authorities, and ensuring only authorized personnel access entry points. The candidate will also respond to alarms, participate in training sessions, and provide professional assistance to staff and visitors.

We’re looking for someone with a high school diploma or equivalent and has extensive experience in security, particularly in high-conflict or humanitarian settings. The idea candidate is skilled in developing security protocols, managing databases, and preparing security reports. With strong project management skills, they can develop and review Safety and Security Manuals and SOPs. They also have experience in incident reporting, travel risk management, and delivering security training.
