The Role
To Provide informed and timely security support, advice and coordination to Oxfam in Gaza, based on continuous context analysis and risk assessments.

What we are looking for
We are looking for someone who has:
- Practical experience of security assessment, planning and implementation of procedures in the context of UN or NGO humanitarian operations
- Proven communication skills with internal and external audiences
- Manages own time on the whole, and some conflicting priorities without upward referral.
- Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility in all aspects of working.
- Written and oral Arabic and English essential
- Proven ability to organise work effectively and supporting others.
- Computer literate, including word processing, databases/ spreadsheet use.
- Anticipates outcomes of activities and uses initiative to keep these activities on course.
- Has a good knowledge of the work of department or unit and takes responsibility for expanding own knowledge.
- Able to communicate instructions and objectives clearly.
- Keeps abreast of internal and external events that may influence role.
- Actively promotes high standards and continuous improvement.
- Diplomacy, tact and negotiating skills
- Is a supportive team member, whose advice and input is regularly sought by peers and superiors
- Continually seeks out most efficient use of resources
- Pro-actively adapts and improves standards and working practices
- Able to advise and train on specialist skills to other departments / teams
What we offer
The employee will be contracted by Oxfam with a competitive, fair and comprehensive pay and benefits package that is justifiable to our donors. Basic salary starts as 104,787 ILS gross per annum, for a 40-hour contract. The salary offered will be subject to funding available and competences.
