Security Operation Officer

Bank of Palestine is seeking to recruit a qualified candidate for the “Security Operation Officer” position to join the IT Infrastructure Department team.

Location: General Management Head Office\ Ramallah.

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining and administering related security devices, including hardware, and operating systems.
• Maintaining and administering Cisco Devices and technologies.
• Maintaining and administering Firewalls Like Cisco, Fortinet, and Palo Alto.
• Maintaining and administering security technologies such as IPS/IDS, Cisco Stealthwatch, Cisco ISE, Cisco DUO, EDR, WAF, and Cisco ACI.
• Planning and scheduling maintenance upgrades for various hardware or software.
• Managing daily backup for security devices.
• Managing security for all systems, including firewalls, anti-virus protection, general network security, user access rights, and secure remote access.
• Maintaining and administering VPN solutions.
• Responsibility for cyber security projects and tools.
• Responsibility for security risk management, incident management, vulnerability management, and penetration testing.
• Maintaining Privileged Access Management (PAM) and the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions.
• Investigating, analyzing, and resolving reported information security incidents.
• Maintaining network firewalls and security devices from various vendors to ensure compliance with security policies and configuration best practices are followed.
• Applying security control to the operating system and hardware.
• Document changes and procedures.
• Applying advanced troubleshooting to the system issues and performing incident management.
• Monitoring server security devices to ensure availability.
• Configuring alerts and notifications for all security device components.
• Ability to establish high availability for all security devices and systems at the main site and DR site.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a relevant field.
• 3 years of experience as a Security Operation Officer or related.
• Experience in the banking sector is a plus.
• Relevant official certifications in network security are a plus.
• Immediate response to network and security incidents, on-call 24/7/365.
• Ability to familiarize yourself with new technologies.
• Ability to keep up to date with IT developments and new trends.
• Preferably knowledge of shell scripting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving and quick understanding of complex information, systems, and requirements.
• Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills.
• Excellent language skills in English and Arabic.

Technical Competencies:

• Strong experience in routing and switching.
• Knowledge of internet security and maintaining firewall policies and rules.
• Good knowledge of Zero Trust implementation.
• Experience with web application security and vulnerabilities such as the OWASP Top Ten.
• Deep understanding of network attacks, DDoS, phishing, email protection, encryption, authentication, and log analysis.
• Preferably knowledge of shell scripting skills.
