Senior Account Executive
An advertising agency is seeking a full-time Senior Account Executive
OVERVIEW
The Account Executive is a hybrid role reporting into Head of Marketing. The role is part strategic and part operational/project management. The SAE must be high energy, good with people and a natural problem-solver. The main objective of the Senior Account Executive responsibility is to assist in the creation and selling of ideas that result in the client’s continued business growth. They work to drive the day-to-day process of client projects and work with other parts of the group/company to deliver work efficiently and effectively.
ACCOUNTABILITIES (project-based)
Operational
- Coordinates logistics, timing and budget elements associated with creative development
- Develops timelines and production plans for integration of consumer learning
- Creates production cost estimates and obtains approval from the client
- Helps organize and assists with pre-production meeting
- Troubleshoots issues throughout creative development and production process
- Develops comprehensive summary of client meeting discussion/agreements to ensure clarity and alignment of creative task and delivery
Strategic
- Assists Head of Marketing in development of into meaningful and motivating creative briefs/strategies based on consumer insights and business understanding
- Assists Head of Marketing in analyzing and assessing the Client business marketplace, the product, the target and competitive landscape and builds upon this information to further the Client’s brand and business
- Assists Head of Marketing in identification of business problems and opportunities
- Always on look-out for unanticipated/underleveraged business opportunities and reports ‘discoveries’ to Head of Marketing
- Works to become knowledge expert in Client’s product category and looks for opportunities to add value and forward initiatives that grow the business

SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- 3-5 years of experience
- Business-oriented with passion for creative work
- Basic financial knowledge
- Analytic skills - quantitative and qualitative on business/consumer learning
- Receptive to new ideas/willing to challenge old ideas
- Able to build and maintain strong client relationships
- Capable of viewing alternatives in options
- Excellent listening and advocacy skills
- Strong leadership and team-building qualities
- Presents thoughts in concise, articulate manner – verbally and in writing
- Innate curiosity
- Flexible
