Senior Accountant Vacancy - Gaza

St John Eye Hospital Group is the leading provider of eye care in East Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza Strip.  The main Hospital is located in Jerusalem and in recent years has expanded its services with the provision of Clinics in Hebron and Anabta.  In addition to our extensive range of specialist services we also provide support within the community through our Outreach Teams which travel throughout the West Bank.

We are currently seeking to recruit a Senior Accountant to be based in Gaza

where he/she will be responsible for the accounting oversight of the clinic and to work closely with the finance department in Jerusalem to ensure that the financial information for the clinic is complete and accurate according to financial procedures set by the hospital. He/ She will contribute to the overall effectiveness of the accounting and internal control functions, and will be responsible for cost control, financial reporting, third patty billings, external audits and overall sound financial management.

You should have minimum of a Bachelor degree in Accounting from an accredited university.
Professional Certification such as CPA, CIA, or CMA is a plus, knowledge of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles including charity laws, minimum of three years of experience in the accounting field, preferably with healthcare institutions, strong computer skills, good communication skills both in English and Arabic.
