Senior And Mid-level positions

International Relief & Development (IRD) is a charitable, non-profit, non-governmental organization. IRD’s mission is to reduce the suffering of the world’s most vulnerable groups and provide tools and resources needed to increase their self-sufficiency. IRD provides cost-effective relief and development programs in six core sectors (Economic Development; Public Health; Sustainable Food and Agriculture Systems; Infrastructure; Community Stabilization; Democracy, Governance and Community Development; and Relief/Rapid Response) and Special Projects.
 
Currently, IRD is recruiting professionals from senior and mid-level candidates for long-term positions on an anticipated USAID-funded program to improve access of small and medium-sized Palestinian firms to the global economy through strengthening the competitiveness and export potential of at least four sectors including; agriculture and agribusiness, stone and marble, tourism and information technology. The program will cover SME in West Bank and potentially in Gaza. In support of its application for this program IRD seeks candidates in the following areas of expertise to include in its proposal:
 
-Sector leaders and specialists in agribusiness, stone and marble, tourism and information technology;
-Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Development;
-Private Sector Competitiveness;
-Institution strengthening, reform and restructuring specialist;
-M&E specialist;
-Procurement and operations specialist;
-Grants management;
-Administration and Finance management;

Required Skills and Qualifications:
 
-Masters Degree in Economics, Business or a related field
-At least five years of experience in the related fields,  USAID experience is a plus
-Excellent interpersonal skills, including patience, diplomacy, willingness to listen and respect for colleagues.
-Must be capable of working both individually and as part of a team.
-Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, stressful environment. Must be flexible, willing to perform other duties and work irregular hours.
-Knowledge in the operating economic environment.
-Excellent analytical, problem solving, decision making, and crisis control skills.
-Working knowledge and experience working with mechanical equipment (computers, copy machines, etc.).
-Ability to use common computer software (spreadsheets, word processing, database, etc.).
