Senior Finance Officer
International Medical Corps is working to relieve the suffering of those impacted by war, natural disaster and disease by delivering vital health care services that focus on training, helping devastated populations return to self-reliance. IMC has been working in Gaza since 2009 and is currently implementing a project to support health service provision in partnership with local NGOs.

Capacity: Full-Time Contract

Location: West Bank.
Reports to Finance Manager
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist Finance Manager in assigning tasks to assistants and day workers and volunteers in the department.
- Supervise assistants and day workers in the department.
- Fulfil the role of acting manager where and when a manager is not available in the department which includes preparing work plans, supervising department staff and offering mentoring support to others in the department, onboarding of new staff in the department and orienting them on departmental procedures, providing weekly updates in the SMT meetings and country calls, writing departmental reports and contributing to project specific reports and other managerial related roles.
- Organize sessions for IMC new and old staff to ensure they are aware of IMC policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Prepare material and organize capacity building sessions for partner staff as needed for every project based of subrecipient award type and
- Provide coaching to IMC staff within and outside the departments and coaching sessions to partner staff as needed.
- Prepare TORs for consultants and other external resources under the department.
- Conduct performance evaluation for staff working under your supervision and set annual performance goals and determine any needed training and corrective action.
- Assign tasks to assistants and day workers and volunteers in the department.
- Assist Finance Manager for preparing monthly and weekly cash flow forecast and payment distribution schedules.
- Receive original documents from field staff, archiving these documents regularly.
- Enter all field transactions into CP system with preparation of the GJs “ACCRUALS".
- Work closely with operational and logistic staff and give them financial support.
- Help finance team during audit period in responding to audit requests.
– finding documents, copying and submitting to auditor or sending to HQ etc.
- Carry out other duties as assigned by supervisor and finance management team.
- Assist in the implementation of all finance policies and procedures and ensure compliance with IMC policies and procedures.
- Orderly file, scan or copy all finance related documents as requested or scheduled.
- Record accounts payable and accounts receivable (GJ).
- Update internal systems with financial data.
- Assist in monthly preparation reports, quarterly and annual financial reports.
- Participate in financial audits.
- Ensure month closure.
- Ensure reconciliation requirements are fulfilled for cash grant accounts.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Degree in Accounting, Commerce or Finance, or full qualification in a recognized Accounting professional
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Minimum of three years of accounting experience, preferably in an international NGO
- A minimum of two years hands-on experience working with EXCEL.
- Teamwork
- Ability to multitask, ability to handle pressure well, ability to improvise, flexibility, cultural and environmental sensitivity.
