Senior Hygiene Promotion Officer

Title: SENIOR HYGIENE PROMOTION OFFICER
Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH) is a non-governmental organization founded in 1994 in Poland. PAH runs both local and overseas operations. We have been running the mission in the oPt since 2006 focusing on water - sanitation and education.
PAH implements its overseas assistance in WASH Sector through its missions in West Bank/Gaza, South Sudan and Somalia.

PAH is seeking an experienced Senior Hygiene Promotion Officer for its UNICEF funded WASH Project, currently being implemented in schools in West Bank.
Location: West Bank, oPt
Duration: Four months fixed term contract
Position: Full – time, 40 working hours per week
Starting date: 15 of May 2012

Main Responsibilities:
-Develop Standard Training Models and IEC (Information, Education and Communication) Materials in close cooperation with MoEHE, UNICEF, PAH and other partners;
-Develop interactive, participatory tools;
-Develop a detailed plan of activities to be conducted during Hygiene Promotion Campaign;
-Elaborate hygiene assessment and monitoring tools;
-Based on developed tools and techniques, train 3 Hygiene Promotion Officers to conduct Hygiene Promotion activities in schools in different West Bank Directorates
-Work closely with respective representatives of the MoEHE, local Directorates, school principals; NGO partners
-Comply with hygiene promotion requirements and standards of the donor;
-Provide comprehensive reports and documentation to the Project Coordinator on regular basis;

Key qualifications and Skills: 
-4 year experience of management, leading a team of 4 people or more;
-Proved experience in hygiene promotion campaigns;
-Experience in working with children/ schools;
-Knowledge of hygiene promotion tools and methods;
-Excellent communication skills;
-Proficient spoken and written English
-Ability to write reports in English;
-Perfect writing skills in Arabic;
-Driving license and available car.
