Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is a leading UK charity dedicated to improving the health and dignity of Palestinians affected by conflict, occupation, and displacement. With a focus on the occupied Palestinian territory and Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, we provide vital health and medical care to those in need, particularly in crisis zones like Gaza. As part of our commitment to meeting the growing needs of the communities we serve, we're expanding our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality nursing care and effective hospital operations by adhering to MAP guidelines and standards. Key responsibilities include defining nursing objectives, updating protocols, and collaborating on training initiatives. The role emphasizes maintaining patient autonomy while following MAP procedures and infection control standards. It involves supervising various departments, managing HR processes for nursing staff, and ensuring efficient pharmacy operations. Additional duties include overseeing medical device usage, coordinating infrastructure maintenance with logistics, and organizing patient and medicine transfers.

The ideal candidate should have a nursing diploma with a valid practicing license and extensive years of clinical nursing experience, including demonstratable experience in a supervisory or managerial role. They should have experience in maternal and/or pediatric care programs and previous supervisory experience, preferably in a humanitarian organization. Experience in high-conflict or low-resource settings, a proven track record in leading diverse nursing teams, and expertise in planning and conducting training programs are essential. Familiarity with emergency response protocols and crisis management is also required.
