Title: Senior Procurement and Logistics Officer

Location: Jericho

Job Scope and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective procurement and logistics strategies to ensure efficient sourcing, purchasing, and delivery of goods and services.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand procurement needs and align strategies with company goals.
  • Negotiate and prepare contracts with suppliers and service providers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure adherence to contractual obligations, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
  • Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Coordinate lo7gistics activities, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to enhance efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Implement and manage inventory control processes to maintain optimal stock levels and reduce waste.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international regulations related to procurement, logistics, and customs clearance.
  • Communicate directly with transportation company drivers to ensure adherence to work programs and address any deviations.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on procurement and logistics activities to management.
  • Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies in procurement and logistics processes independently.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the department head.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement and logistics, with a proven track record in managing supply chain processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with procurement and logistics software, including ERP systems.

Required Skills:

  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management principles and practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
