Senior Project Coordinator
Dar Yusuf Nasri Jacir for Art and Research is a space for art, education and research. The center will host and organize art exhibitions, workshops, master classes, seminars, and a residency program to host local and international artists, researchers, musicians, and filmmakers. In addition, the center will be devoted to cultural and educational activities in collaboration with local communities and other centers in the Bethlehem area and from there outwards to the rest Palestine.
Dar Yusuf Nasri Jacir for Art and Research Center through the Institute for Palestine Studies (IPS) is seeking to recruit a highly motivated individual for the position of a Senior Coordinator to work at the center in Bethlehem. This position is funded through the “Visual Arts: A Flourishing Field” (VAFF) project, an A. M. Qattan Foundation project funded by the Consulate General of Sweden represented by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). The description of this position is as follows:

Job Description: Senior Coordinator

Job Objectives:
Efficiently contribute to the development and delivery of projects and events at Dar Jacir, coordinating all project and administrative aspects, using a participatory approach with the relevant staff and partners and in line with Dar Jacir's vision and strategic directions.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
Coordinate, implement and follow up all projects and events planned in full coordination with the Director, relevant staff and partners.
Follow up and ensure the timely implementation of different activities per the approved action plan and related project documents.
Compile, prepare, and draft where applicable, all communication materials needed for publications, advertising, newsletters and media materials in close coordination with the Director, IPS, and relevant staff.
Prepare all narrative reports needed, both in English and Arabic, in coordination with the Director and IPS.
Coordinate and follow up all procurement-related activities for Dar Jacir in collaboration with the relevant staff and IPS.
Draft projects documents including action plans, ToRs, indictors, procurement plans, and progress reports.
Prepare terms of reference, contracts and agreements, and ensure compliance to all approved terms and conditions.
Efficiently contribute to research, development of evidence-based reports, evaluations and communications, which provide feedback concerning the success of initiatives and projects.
Contribute to preparation of Dar Jacir’s work plans and budgets.
Supervise seasonal staff, interns and volunteers for specific projects and events within Dar Jacir as required.
Keep Dar Jacir’s records and materials archived and filed in an easily accessible, updated, and well classified forms both electronically and/or in hard copies, where applicable (this include events files, records and materials).
Develop and regularly update the Dar Jacir’s data bases.
Prepare for meetings, draft minutes and follow up recommendations.
Provide all necessary support to the Director, Staff and Visiting Artists and Filmmakers, and workshop participants.
Organize travel for Dar Jacir artists and filmmakers in residence.
Foster and maintain positive and respectful communications and relationships with project partners, advisory committee, stakeholders and fellow colleagues.
Coordinate and manage other staff.
Update and maintain website, facebook page and other social media platforms.
Assist with strengthening community relations.
Any other work-related tasks.

Skills/Qualifications:
A bachelor degree in Cultural Management, or other related field.
At least 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in community-based project planning and coordination.
Interest and knowledge of the arts and culture scene in Palestine, and the region at large.
Excellent knowledge and command of computer MAC systems as well as Microsoft office programs.
Excellent computer skills, MS office, MS Project, Excel functions and PowerPoint.
High communications skills, good networking and team work abilities.
Excellent time management skills with attention to details.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Arabic and English. (Spanish a plus) or Excellent communication and negotiation skills and presentation in Arabic and English.
Occasionally, flexible work hours are required to accommodate evening and weekend activities.
