A prospective non for profit organization is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual for the full time position of Senior Renewable Energy Advisor.

General:

The Senior Renewable Energy Advisor will manage work related to the development of policies and regulations designed to attract private-sector investment in utility-scale and distributed renewable energy. S/he will advise on best practices in public-private partnerships, incentives, grid integration, sustainability, and other required areas.

Responsibilities:

-         Develop policies and regulations designed to attract private-sector investment in utility-scale and distributed renewable energy.
-        Advise on best practices in public-private-partnership incentives, grid integration, sustainability, and other required areas.
-         Work in tandem with the Program Director, technical leads, and other senior staff to design and roll out activities.
-         Oversee solicitation, implementation and monitoring of renewable energy pilot projects
-         Provide input on the work plan and other project deliverables.

The Senior Renewable Energy Advisor must have the following minimum required:

Qualifications:

-          At least seven years of relevant working experience in renewable energy with an
outstanding track record in the solar sector.
-          At least seven years of experience as an advisor to public entities (ministries, regulatory
bodies, finance authorities, system operators) and/or work in the private sector as a
developer of solar projects.
-          A Master’s Degree in Renewable Energy Technologies/Environmental Engineering/
Economics/Business studies or a related field from an accredited university.
-          Business proficiency, written and spoken, in English. Professional working proficiency
as defined by the International Language Roundtable (www.govtilr.org)
is required. Full professional proficiency is preferred.
