A Respectable IT Company based in Ramallah– Palestine, is looking to recruit highly motivated person for the following vacancy: 

Senior System Administrator

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Configure, maintain, and administer all LINUX servers, web servers, e-mail servers, DNS server, DHCP server, and other shared hosting services.
2. Establishes, maintains and manages users Linux accounts. Installs, modifies and maintains systems and utility software on server systems (Linux, Windows and VMware ).
3. Configure, Maintain SAN Storage Platform
4. Document changes and procedures
5. Apply advanced troubleshooting to the system problems and perform incident management.
6. Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created.
7. Monitor servers and networks to ensure security and availability
8. Administer, configure VMware Cluster (ESXi Servers, Vcenter, Storage.)
9. Applying and managing load balancing policies and techniques.
10. Ensures high availability and acceptable levels of performance of mission critical host computer resources.
11. Administer and manage MySQL, MSSQL data bases.

Qualifications & Experience:

1. Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
2. 3 or more years of experience with Networking knowledge, Linux administration, Windows Administration
3. Experience of these systems: SAN Storage, Server Blade, SQL, MYSQL, VOIP system, Elastic and Network protocols.
4. Storage: RAID configuration and optimization
5. Problem solving and critical thinking skills
6. English reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
7. Good knowledge in software applications maintenance, troubleshooting and debugging.
8. Ability to work under pressure and hold extra duties and tight deadlines within constraints.
9. Excellent analytical and problem solving and quickly understanding complex information, systems and requirements.
10. Flexible enough to adapt plan, prioritize things and simplify complexity
11. Technical Certificates of (RHCT, RHCE, MSCE, VCP) are plus.
12. Be aware of web security protection, scanning and vulnerability techniques.
13. Be familiar with PHP, ASP and other programming languages.
