Site Engineer

Islamic Relief is a humanitarian INGO (www.irpal.ps) operating in Palestine in the fields of emergency relief and longterm development. Islamic Relief announces the following vacancies for its office in The West Bank.

Title: Site Engineer
Ref: SE-WB-06-2012
Duration: nine months. (Full time)

Overall Responsibilities:
the Site Engineers will be responsible for conducting needs assessment, preparing bills of quantities, preparing tender documents, participating in selection of contractor, preparing contracts, and supervising the implementation of the works by the contractors on the project sites, keeping records of all project documents and preparing periodic reports on the project.

Candidates must possess the following competencies:
-Bachelor degree from an accredited University in Civil Engineering.
-At least three years’ experience in working in similar fieldpreferably with international NGOS.
-Strong communication, interpersonal & technical skills.
-Ability to multi-task effectively as well as display professionalismand confidence.
-Working knowledge of computer.
-Strong planning, communications and coordination skills.
-Good in English (written and spoken)
