Social Inclusion Coordinator and M&E Officer
APHEDA is an implementing organization for the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affair and Trade (DFAT) AMENCA3 project “Producing for Profit: enhancing the long term profitability of small scale farmers and producers”. The project has been implemented in the West Bank and Gaza since 1st April 2016 and will end 30th April 2019 with possible extension to 30th April 2021. APHEDA is seeking to hire a Social Inclusion Coordinator and M& E Officer (SIME) to support the project team in planning, implementing and monitoring and evaluating all project activities that will be implemented in West Bank and Gaza. The SIME will report directly to the Quality Impact and M&E Manager (QIM). The position is initially for one year with possible extension for another two years depending on funding.
Job Title: Social Inclusion Coordinator and M&E Officer
Contract Duration: 12 months starting from 1st March 2018
Reporting to: Quality Impact and M&E Manger
Location: West Bank-Ramallah and travel to Gaza Strip and Jenin
Aim of the job: To lead, coordinate, plan, monitor and evaluate and provide specialist technical input into social inclusion aspects of APHEDA’s AMENCA3 project in Palestine, in coordination with the Quality Impact and M&E Manager.
Social Inclusion Coordination, Planning and M & E Officer Responsibilities:
Drive and coordinate all social inclusion aspects of the project including the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of project activities targeting women and youth
Drive the development, monitoring and evaluation of the project’s social inclusion action plan, including the development of data collection methodologies, case studies, and knowledge sharing activities, and coordination of data gathering and analysis;
Support the project team and staff from partner organizations to incorporate practical gender based approaches in project implementation through leadership, mentoring, capacity building and the provision of high quality specialist input into activities and interventions, as required
Work with the project team to strengthen and evaluate women and youth capacities for economic empowerment through which they will be in a position to claim their rights and strengthen their roles in their families, in business and the workplace, and in their communities.
Drive the development, implementation and monitoring of a social messaging campaign targeting women and youth
Coordinate with relevant Ministries, national and international organizations on gender and youth related activities.
Participate in developing reports and plans and case studies requested by APHEDA and DFAT.
Participate in all field visits that will be conducted by APHEDA and DFAT, including to Gaza when possible.
Assist the project staff to gather the information needed for reporting on project goals and outcomes.
Assist the project staff to develop success stories resulting from the implementation of project activities and learn from less successful approaches and activities
Participate in all planning and regular meetings for project staff.
Provide the QIM with monthly progress reports

Project Coordinator Requirements:
Bachelor degree in business or related field of study.
Five years experience in related field.
Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills.
Strong leadership and coordinator skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Strong understanding of challenges and opportunities faced by women and youth in Palestine.
Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Knowledge file management, transcription, and other administrative procedures.
Ability to work on tight deadlines.
Work proficiently in Arabic and English.
